Benefits of Electronic Camera Systems
What is a Security Camera
The changes and developments that technology has brought about in every area of our lives make it necessary for us to use new devices. Security cameras, which we use to improve our quality of life and live more safely and peacefully, are electronic systems that have entered our lives with technology and are becoming increasingly widespread. Cameras that capture electronic images and act as a deterrent to people prone to crime are generally referred to as security cameras. The system works on the principle of cameras, either wired or wireless, capturing images. Depending on the camera model, these images are converted into digital or analog data and transmitted to the recording device or the device to which the camera is assigned. Thus, the images within the camera's coverage area can be monitored moment by moment. Security cameras are either analog or IP cameras. The working principle of these cameras is similar, but their data transmission methods differ.
Features of IP Cameras
Analog cameras are cameras that record images as radio signals to a DVR device. In this system, devices called DVRs are needed to monitor the images. Analog cameras, which capture high-quality images, now have the ability to capture images in color. This feature makes the recorded images clearer and more understandable, ensuring a high level of security in the areas where the system is installed. IP cameras, on the other hand, are the most preferred camera model in security camera systems. Their use has become more widespread in recent years due to the advantages they offer to the user in many aspects. Their most significant difference from analog cameras is that they transmit data digitally. The processor inside the camera converts the captured image into electrical data and then into digital data, transmitting it to the assigned laptop, mobile device, or desktop computer. It is not necessary to record the images captured by these cameras on a DVR device to monitor them. Images can be recorded on the assigned device as they are monitored live moment by moment. They have a programmable structure. They can be used for alarm management as well as storage. Fire, gas, and theft programs can be activated. With the alarm feature, they have the ability to warn the user against unwanted situations.
