What is an IP Camera and What are its Advantages
What is an Analog Camera
The cost and image quality of systems installed for security purposes vary depending on the model of the device displaying the image, i.e., the camera. Security camera systems are practical and functional systems that can be installed wired or wirelessly according to need. IP and analog cameras are most preferred in the system. Cameras are the most fundamental element of security systems that help us make our living spaces safer. Analog cameras used in systems with analog and IP cameras have the feature of being a deterrent against thieves and malicious individuals. Analog cameras used in this system, which are used in public institutions and organizations, all areas of social life, and our private living spaces, transmit the recorded image to the recording device as radio frequency. The image quality is good, but its only disadvantage is that it operates on the same frequency as other devices in the environment.
How Does an IP Camera Work
An IP camera converts what it sees into digital data. The high-quality imaging device converts the data into digital data and delivers it to the identified user. It does not require devices such as a card or a recorder. It is extremely easy to use and effortless to install. Data obtained by the device can be monitored live instantly with the help of internet-connected devices. Wired and wireless models are available. Due to their programmability, they can also be used as fire and gas alarm systems. The lens and sensors in the IP camera convert the image within the field of view into an electrical signal. The processor inside the camera converts this signal into digital data and sends it to the device where the system is defined. The image can be viewed instantly or recorded and monitored later. The ability to access from different devices is the most important feature of IP cameras. In addition, its usability for different purposes (fire alarm system, gas alarm system) and high image quality are among the significant advantages of IP cameras over analog camera systems. Not needing another device for the system to work (analog cameras need a DVR device to record images) ensures that the system has a simple structure, not a complex one. It is more economical due to its low installation and maintenance costs. For this reason, it is one of the most preferred security systems.
