What is Red Team?
Red team is the name given to a comprehensive, multi-stage attack simulation created to measure how resilient an institution's or organization's security devices, networks, and employees are against a real attack, including physical security controls. This allows us to see how resilient organizations' security teams are against a real attack. A well-prepared red team completely reveals security vulnerabilities. You can visit the address for detailed information about the phases and red team. During Red Team's operations, highly knowledgeable and trained security consultants uncover hardware, software, and human vulnerabilities and lay out attack scenarios.
Red Team Phases
- Reconnaissance Phase: This is the first and most important phase of the operation. We try to gather as much information as possible about the target, and it is often very possible to learn a lot about the target's people, technology, and environment.
- Weaponization Phase: In this step, based on the information obtained during reconnaissance activities, control centers specific to the target are created, and damages are developed. In this step, generally, software and hardware damages are prepared.
- Delivery Phase: In this step, the entire operation is actively started. In this phase, red team teams carry out actions directed at the target person or persons to achieve the objectives in the defined scenario. (Cloning ID cards, etc.)
- Exploitation Phase: As a result of the successful execution of actions, access is attempted to be gained through the target's technology infrastructure.
- Command and Control Phase: The malware that becomes active in the target systems communicates with the red team command and control servers. In this phase, everything is made to look legal.
- Lateral Movement Phase: In this step, efforts begin to reach a target determined by the institution. The aim is to reach the target in the shortest possible time and without being detected.
